Booking requests and confirmation
An online booking request does not reserve the house. The host checks availability and sends a quote with the total for your dates, the deposit required and the payment schedule. Your booking is confirmed once the host has accepted it and the deposit has been received. Until then the dates remain available to other guests.
Deposit and balance
A deposit of at least 30% of the accommodation total is payable within three days of the booking being accepted. The balance is due before arrival: 30 days before arrival for peak-season stays, 14 days before arrival for Easter and shoulder-season stays, and seven days before arrival for off-peak stays. Your booking advice states the dates that apply to you. Prices are in Australian dollars.
Payment is by direct bank deposit using the details on your booking page, or by card where that option is offered. Please use your booking reference as the payment description.
Security bond
A security bond of $750 is payable with the outstanding balance. It is returned within seven working days of departure following inspection, less any deductions for damage, loss, missing items, additional cleaning or breaches of these terms.
Cancellations and changes
Contact the host as soon as possible if you need to cancel or change your stay. On cancellation the 30% booking deposit is retained; amounts paid above the deposit are refundable. A $100 administration charge applies to booking variations. Reducing the number of nights is treated as a cancellation of those nights and is subject to notice and minimum-stay conditions. Further refunds may be considered where the cancelled dates are rebooked, less applicable charges and expenses.
If the host is unable to provide the house for your confirmed dates for reasons beyond the guest's control, all amounts paid will be refunded. These terms do not exclude your rights under Australian Consumer Law.
Guests, dogs and use of the house
- A maximum of eight approved guests may stay overnight. Everyone staying must be named on the booking before arrival.
- Dogs may stay only with prior approval. Tell the host the breed and size when you request your dates.
- Parties, functions and schoolies bookings are not permitted. Smoking is not permitted at the property.
- Please respect the quiet residential setting and our neighbours.
- Follow the house instructions for the spa, wood fire and other equipment.
Arrival, departure and care of the house
Arrival and departure times and access instructions are confirmed with your booking. Please leave the house clean and tidy, wash your dishes, place rubbish in the appropriate bins and clean the barbecue after use. Report any breakages, damage or maintenance issues to the host promptly. Additional cleaning, repair or replacement costs may be charged under these terms.
